D-I.D Tag
As the purpose of the D-i.D TAG is to provide a clear & visible indication of the "fitness for use " of the piece of equipment to which it is attached. It is important that the D-i.D tag is affixed in a visble location.

On a Fall Protection System
Ideally the D-i.D TAG should be affixed to the system at its point of entry. If it is possible that the system can be accesed at either end it is recommended that a D.i.D tag be affixed at either end.
On a Fixed Ladder
Ideally the D-i.D TAG should be fixed at eyelevel at the base of the ladder.
On a Guardrail
Ideally the D-i.D TAG should be affixed to the system at its point of entry. If it is possible that the system can be accesed at either end it is recommended that a D.i.D tag be affixed at either end.
